RAL Classic colours

RAL Classic colours are made to serve the needs of industry. RAL colour chart UK is a well-recognised standard. At first, they were mainly used for powder coating, varnish, also there are panels for plastic dye. There are 215 colours in RAL Classic panel. There are 188 body colours, 2 micaceous iron colours, 5 daylight luminous colours and 15 pearlescent colou rs. These colours are grouped based on the distinctive character hue: yellow hues, orange hues, red hues, violet hues, blue hues, green hues, grey hues, brown hues, white and black hues.

The colours in RAL Classic panel are stacked and labelled in the following way: Each of the Classic colours has a 4-digit number code assigned. They are also tagged with 'RAL' keyword. The intial digit marks the primary shade within the group. That system is structured in the following way (1-yellow, 2-orange, 3-red, 4-orange, 5-blue, 6-green, 7-grey, 8-brown, 9-white and black).
